Here are typical examples of how leased lines can be used:
1. A retail organisation supports 20 shops from a single head office. Their WAN was based on broadband technology and the head office was suffering infrequent, but devastating, outages; because when the line failed, the entire network failed and business halted. By using a leased line at the head office, combined with a broadband line as a resilient secondary circuit, we were able to provide a solid foundation for the business to thrive and grow.
2. A housing association in the South West had opted for a symmetrical broadband service for their internet access, because they considered leased lines to be out of their league. Our next generation Ethernet services happened to have a node that was just down the road, as a result of massive investment in our network. This affordably increased their head office capacity from a congested 2Mbps to 100Mbps, and allowed the housing association to take advantage of new applications, like video conference and IP telephony, that had been previously unavailable.
